During Karthika Masam, many devotees visited Shaiva temples in the Telugu states, especially on Sunday, a holiday that drew large crowds. Women who had taken holy baths lit Karthika lamps, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere.

At Kaleshwaram in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, devotees from various regions, including Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, took holy dips in the Godavari river and performed special pujas for Goddess Godavari, placing lamps in the river afterward. The Sri Kaleshwara Muktheeswara Swamy Temple hosted Maredu Vaas offerings, while women at the Sri Subhananda Devi Temple performed Kumkumarchana pujas.

The Vemulawada Rajanna Temple experienced increased footfall, with devotees waiting hours for darshan. Karthika lamps were lit, and arjitha services in the sanctum sanctorum were suspended for the day.

At Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Kshetram, the weekend holiday attracted many devotees participating in traditional rituals, filling parking areas and causing traffic congestion. They gathered for Deeparadhana and prayed at other shrines within the temple complex.

On Saturday, Srisaila Mahakshetra also welcomed many devotees who took holy dips in Patal Ganga and offered prayers, with impressive rituals like Nityakalaravadhanam taking place in the temple’s premises.
