Pawan Kalyan Breaks Silence
On December 4, during the premiere show of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theater, a stampede incident occurred, which later spiraled into the controversy surrounding the alleged arrest of actor Allu Arjun.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has now expressed his views on the matter. Speaking informally with the media today in Mangalagiri, he remarked, “What was a minor issue has been blown out of proportion into a major controversy.”
Pawan Kalyan stated, “I do not know what transpired in front of or behind the scenes in Bunny’s case. In such incidents, I do not place the blame entirely on the police. The law applies equally to everyone, and the police are always mindful of maintaining security. However, the theater staff should have communicated with Allu Arjun beforehand. Once he was seated, any concerns could have been conveyed calmly. Perhaps, due to the noise, he might not have heard them clearly.”
He further commented, “Allu Arjun should have visited the family of the victim earlier. In the past, Chiranjeevi used to watch movies with fans in theaters, but he would disguise himself and attend alone to avoid such disturbances.”
Pawan Kalyan also compared the handling of similar situations in neighboring states, adding, “Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is a remarkable leader who has risen from the grassroots level. He has not operated in the manner of the YSR Congress Party’s policies. In Telangana, there has been scope for benefit shows and an increase in ticket prices, which shows a different approach.”
