According to Boney, Anil’s love for acting was apparent even when he was in school, where he often played Shashi Kapoor’s child in school plays. Boney told ABP, "He was so passionate at that time that he didn’t bathe for two to three days. He didn’t want the makeup to come off so that everyone would come to know that he had become an actor."
