Case filed over death threat to Vijayashanthi’s husband
A case has been registered at the Banjara Hills Police Station in Hyderabad against a man identified as M. Chandrakiran Reddy, for allegedly issuing death threats to M.V. Srinivasa Prasad, husband of MLC and actress Vijayashanthi.
According to reports, the two first connected about four years ago when Reddy approached Srinivasa Prasad offering social media promotional services. After an initial review, Prasad reportedly indicated there might be a future opportunity but did not proceed with a formal agreement due to unsatisfactory outcomes.
Later, Reddy allegedly misrepresented himself to political leaders as someone associated with Vijayashanthi and secured contracts under that pretense. He later messaged Srinivasa Prasad, demanding payment. When questioned about the legitimacy of his claim, Prasad invited him to discuss the matter in person. Instead, Reddy allegedly sent a threatening message, warning he would “destroy their lives” and “kill him brutally without mercy” if unpaid.
Following the threat, Srinivasa Prasad filed a police complaint. A case has been registered, and the investigation is currently underway.
