 In a shocking incident, 80 teachers, including school principals, were found guilty of closing 20 primary schools in Shakepet mandal during working hours to host parties.

 In a shocking incident, 80 teachers, including school principals, were found guilty of closing 20 primary schools in Shakepet mandal during working hours to host parties. Hyderabad collector Anudeep Durisetty expressed strong displeasure over the blatant misconduct and issued show-cause notices to all the teachers involved. Deputy inspector of schools (DIS) Yadagiri, who authorized the closure, has been suspended. 
 
The incident occurred on December 13, when teachers dismissed students at 1 PM and proceeded to hold parties in several schools, including a prominent gathering in a Banjara Hills school. Alert locals who noticed the activity reported it to the Collector, prompting an immediate investigation. Authorities confirmed the allegations after a detailed inquiry and submitted their findings to the Collector. Acting swiftly,
 
Anudeep Durisetty issued strict warnings to the teachers involved, emphasizing the dereliction of duty and its impact on students. “Such actions are unacceptable and undermine the very purpose of education,” he stated. The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with locals and netizens expressing anger on social media. Many have demanded stringent measures to ensure such incidents do not recur. “Teachers are the backbone of society, and this irresponsible behavior is a betrayal of public trust,” a local resident remarked.
