Deputy inspector of schools (DIS) Yadagiri, who authorized the closure, has been suspended.
The incident occurred on December 13, when teachers dismissed students at 1 PM and proceeded to hold parties in several schools, including a prominent gathering in a Banjara Hills school. Alert locals who noticed the activity reported it to the Collector, prompting an immediate investigation.
