Vishwambhara and Mass Jathara: The Clash of Two Big Releases in July?
Release dates in the world of big-ticket cinema have become as unpredictable as the films themselves, and Telugu cinema is no exception. The latest buzz surrounds Vishwambhara, which is rumored to target a July 24 release, though an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited. At the same time, Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara is eyeing a July 18 release, creating the possibility of a major box office clash.
If both films stick to these dates, there will be only a one-week gap between the releases of the two films, both originally planned for earlier release windows. Mass Jathara was initially set for Sankranthi but was delayed after Ravi Teja’s accident last year. Now, with a big-budget backing from Sithara Entertainments and a directorial debut by writer Bhanu Bhogavarapu, it’s ready to hit the screens.
Vishwambhara, too, missed its Sankranthi window. While the delay was rumored to be a strategic move to avoid clashing with Game Changer, insiders hint at unfinished work, especially after the teaser received mixed reactions. The team is reportedly focusing on improving the VFX and finalizing post-production to ensure a polished release.
While nothing is official yet, the potential Chiranjeevi–Ravi Teja face-off has fans excited. With both stars known for their camaraderie off-screen, it remains to be seen how this clash would impact ticket sales and audience preferences.
