Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has proposed adopting the land pooling model, successfully implemented for Amaravati, to allocate land for industries across Andhra Pradesh. The CM stressed that local farmers should be made active partners in land allocation for industries to ensure inclusive growth. Speaking during the Collectors’ meeting, where Industries secretary N Yuvaraj presented an overview of the department’s initiatives,

Naidu emphasized the urgency of setting up industrial parks in all 175 constituencies. He directed officials to focus on how many jobs these initiatives would create, particularly for the state’s youth. Highlighting major projects such as the ArcelorMittal steel plant and the BPCL refinery at Ramayapatnam, the CM pointed out that delays could drive investors to consider other states. “We must act swiftly to secure investments and ensure the viability of projects. Andhra Pradesh’s reputation for ease of doing business must be maintained,” he asserted. Farmers’ role in development Naidu stressed the importance of involving farmers directly in land acquisition processes, ensuring they benefit from the industrialization drive. He reiterated the need for MSMEs to be established on a large scale, noting that such enterprises could form the backbone of the industrial ecosystem. “The product manufactured by one industry should serve as raw material for another. This interconnected model will create a sustainable industrial economy,” he explained.

The CM also urged officials to complete the enumeration of MSMEs swiftly and facilitate their growth in various sectors. Lokesh pushes Cabinet subcommittee Minister Nara Lokesh highlighted the formation of a cabinet sub-committee tasked with creating 20 lakh jobs. He called for action to expedite industrial investments and improve business facilitation processes. Referring to the ArcelorMittal project, Lokesh mentioned that NMDC had offered to supply raw iron through a dedicated pipeline.

He added that the Chief Minister was personally coordinating with the Union Steel Ministry and NMDC to ensure the project’s progress. Encouraging a proactive approach, Naidu directed collectors to follow up diligently on investment proposals. “Do not wait for ministers or myself to intervene; take the lead in resolving investor concerns and driving projects forward,” he advised.
