Box Office Clash: Sikandar vs Jaat

After Chhaava, Bollywood is still waiting for its next blockbuster. Now, all eyes are on two major releases, arriving just 12 days apart—both helmed by South Indian filmmakers.

We’re talking about Salman Khan’s Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, and Sunny Deol’s Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni. Based on the current buzz, Gopichand seems to have the edge over Murugadoss.

Sikandar: Struggling to Build Hype?

Set for release on March 30, Sikandar stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. However, poor promotions, lackluster teasers and trailers, and an outdated filmmaking style have dampened expectations. With both Salman Khan and AR Murugadoss coming off recent flops, the film needs strong word-of-mouth to turn the tide.

Jaat: Winning the Hype Game?

On the other hand, Jaat is set to release on April 10 and has generated strong buzz, especially in rural North India. The teaser and trailer promise a high-energy commercial entertainer, a style that’s common in the South but a rarity in Bollywood.

With Sunny Deol riding high on the success of Gadar 2 and powerful backing from Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, Jaat seems poised for a stronger opening, especially in B and C centers.

As the release dates approach, it remains to be seen which film will dominate the box office. Will Sikandar defy the odds, or will Jaat emerge as the clear winner? Stay tuned!
