Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin expressed shock over the murder of Bahujan Samaj Party Tamil Nadu president K Armstrong.
He stated that those involved in the killing have been arrested in a midnight operation. The 52-year-old BSP leader was hacked to death by a six-member, bike-borne gang near his house in Perambur on Friday.
The police have arrested the individuals involved in his murder in an overnight operation, said Stalin. He also ordered the police to conduct the investigation expeditiously and ensure that the culprits are punished according to the law.
Additionally, he conveyed his deepest condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family and friends.
At least eight suspects have been apprehended in connection with the murder of the BSP state president, as confirmed by a senior police official.
The police have formed 10 teams to crack the case, as stated by Asra Garg, Additional Commissioner (North), during a late-night press briefing on Friday.
