Minister Nara Lokesh Lays the Foundation Stone of Padmasali Bhavan in Kolanukonda Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh emphasized that handloom weavers will

receive comprehensive support under the coalition government. He attended the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the new Padmasali Bhavan organized by the Padmasali International Welfare Association (PIWA) near Kolanukonda on the Mangalagiri-Vijayawada bypass, where he served as the chief guest.

During the ceremony, the foundation stone of the Padmasali Bhavan was laid. The presidents of the central committee of PIWA, Swargam Pullarao and his wife, conducted a puja program. Minister Lokesh was warmly welcomed by PIWA members, coalition leaders, and activists with traditional Mangalavaidhyas.

Established in Vijayawada 17 years ago, the Padmasali International Welfare Association supports handloom families through various service programs across the state. To date, they have provided over three crore rupees to assist poor students and handloom families.

Speaking at the event, Minister Lokesh highlighted the establishment of a weavers' workshop with international standards in Mangalagiri, which aims to further assist handloom families. He mentioned that a large number of modern weaving tools have been distributed to handloom women. Lokesh also inquired about the ongoing programs by PIWA and the specifics of the new Padmasali Bhavan construction. The event concluded with group photos of the attendees.
