Payyavula slams YSRCP for criticizing Budget from outside Assembly
Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav has criticized the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for commenting on the State government's budget without attending the Assembly. He alleged that YSRCP leaders were avoiding the House due to their past misdeeds.
Speaking in the Assembly on Tuesday, Keshav stated that the budget was presented despite severe financial challenges. However, he pointed out that some MLAs, instead of participating in the discussions, were criticizing the budget from outside.
He accused YSRCP leaders of skipping the session out of fear that their past mistakes would be exposed. He blamed them for the State's financial turmoil over the last five years and alleged that they had abandoned ethical governance while suppressing opposition voices.
"This is why they were reduced to just 11 seats," he remarked. Referring to the criticism over the lack of funding for the Veligonda project, Keshav reminded that the same leaders had previously declared the project completed. "If they had already announced its completion, how can funds be allocated now?" he questioned.
