Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed surprise at Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s depth of knowledge and literary pursuits, stating that he never expected him to write a book. The book launch event for ‘World History’, authored by Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, was held at GITAM University in Visakhapatnam.

The event was attended by former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari, and other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, CM Chandrababu Naidu described Venkateswara Rao as a special member of their family, recalling their shared experiences and learnings from the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).

He remarked that despite knowing Rao for 40 years, he was unaware of his literary depth. CM Chandrababu Naidu praised Venkateswara Rao's diverse accomplishments, noting that he is a qualified doctor who chose a different path, venturing into films, politics, and writing.

He highlighted Daggubati’s political career, which includes serving as a five-time MLA, minister, Lok Sabha MP, and Rajya Sabha member. The event also marked a rare public reunion between Chandrababu Naidu and Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, who are family relatives.

Chandrababu is married to NTR’s daughter Bhuvaneswari, while Venkateswara Rao is married to Purandeswari, making them cousins by marriage. Despite crossing paths at family gatherings, this was their first time sharing a stage in nearly 30 years.
