AP govt sets 2.4 trillion dollor economy target by 2047: CM Naidu
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated his government’s commitment to transforming Andhra Pradesh into a 2.4 trillion dollor economy by 2047. Speaking in the Assembly during a discussion on Vision Document 2047, Naidu said the initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat 2047, which aims to boost India’s GDP to 30 trillion dollors.
Naidu outlined a roadmap to achieve a Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Rs 308 lakh crore with an annual growth rate of 15 percent, ultimately raising the per capita income to Rs 55 lakh. He projected a 17.11 percent growth rate for the current financial year, with AP’s GSDP reaching Rs 18.65 lakh crore and per capita income at Rs 3.47 lakh.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for a structured development approach, with district-wise and sector-wise economic planning. He said MLAs would play an integral role in implementing Swarnandhra Vision 2047, ensuring development strategies are tailored to local needs.
Naidu highlighted poverty eradication, technological advancements, and sustainable energy as key pillars of the vision. He identified solar, wind, and pumped storage power as potential game-changers and pledged to implement the P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership) model to accelerate economic growth.
Taking aim at the previous YSRCP government, Naidu claimed that his administration was working to restore AP’s economic stability after years of financial mismanagement. He recalled the success of his Vision 2020 initiative in the 1990s, stating that it had significantly contributed to the growth of united Andhra Pradesh. He expressed confidence that Vision 2047 would drive the state towards unprecedented development.
