The Supreme Court on Friday issued notices to YS Bhaskar Reddy in connection with the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case. The move comes after the Telangana High Court granted bail to Bhaskar Reddy, prompting the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file a petition seeking the cancellation of the bail.
A bench led by Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna conducted a hearing on the CBI's plea and subsequently issued notices to Bhaskar Reddy. The case has been adjourned, with the next hearing scheduled for March. The YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case remains a high-profile and unresolved criminal investigation.
Even after nearly five years, the identity of those responsible for the brutal killing is still unclear. The CBI, which has been handling the case for an extended period, continues to face challenges in conclusively identifying the perpetrators.
