Home Minister Anitha’s PA Jagadish Removed Following Corruption Allegations
Jagadish, the personal assistant (PA) to Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, has been removed
Jagadish, the personal assistant (PA) to Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, has been removed from his position following serious corruption allegations. He has been accused of soliciting bribes for transfers, postings, and recommendations, as well as engaging in settlements. Jagadish had been serving as Anitha’s PA for the past ten years, during which time his alleged misconduct reportedly escalated after the coalition government assumed power and Anitha became the Home Minister.
Reports claim that Jagadish exercised significant influence, disregarding even senior leaders, and acted as if he were in complete control of ministerial affairs. He is also accused of pressuring liquor license holders for shares in retail outlets and selling recommendation letters for Tirumala temple visits to hotel owners in Tirupati. These allegations prompted multiple complaints to the government.
As the complaints mounted, Home Minister Anitha finally decided to remove Jagadish from his post. News of his dismissal has reportedly led to celebrations among Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadres and individuals in Payakaraopeta constituency who claim to have been victims of his actions.
