Sonia Gandhi fulfilled the aspirations of the people of Telangana : Revanth Reddy

In his speech in the Telangana Assembly, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the significance of December 9, stating that it is a day of celebration for the people of Telangana.

He highlighted that the Telangana proclamation was made on December 9, 2009, and credited Sonia Gandhi with fulfilling the aspirations of the Telangana people. The chief minister acknowledged the pivotal role of the people in the Telangana movement.

He quoted Dasarathi, saying that the words of this renowned poet are timeless truths. He spoke about the identity of any nation being tied to its existence, which he believes is rooted in culture, and described the mother as a reflection of that culture.

He praised Telangana Talli for uniting the people in their struggle for independence, asserting that she breathed life into the concept of nationhood and continually motivated the populace towards their goals.

Revanth Reddy pointed out that no mother wears a crown, only the gods do, and posed the question of whether the village goddess Pochamma should wear a crown, which he felt needed clarification for the public.

He firmly rejected the criticisms from opposition parties regarding Telangana Talli. He mentioned that discussions were held regarding the portrayal of Telangana Talli, debating whether she should embody a goddess or a motherly figure.

The consensus was reached that a mother should be capable of taking on every form, which is why they are unveiling the concept of Bahujan Mother today.

He acknowledged that some people may not agree with this idea and criticized the notion of a fragmented Telangana, stating that they should put politics aside for this one day.

He called for a focus on unity and invited political leaders, including KCR, Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, Asaduddin, and communist leaders, to attend the event, requesting everyone to come together for this important occasion.
