Unni Mukundan's Marco is minting the moolah at the box office. So far, the brutal actioner has crossed Rs 82 crore at the box office. He said that the profit margin of the Haneef Adeni directorial will give others "heart attacks."
Ram Gopal Varma on Marco
RGV recently tweeted, "An ultra low budget film #Marco is kicking the asses of mega high budget star-studded films all over the country and internationally too. @Iamunnimukundan is not only beating the villains on screen but he is also beating the minds of producers, actors, and directors of not only Bollywood, but of all woods, who are now running scared of #Marco’s collections. Whenever they come to know of its profits in comparison to its cost, many of them will die of heart attacks.
For a change, many agreed with Varma. A netizen commented, "Marco is a triumph, showcasing Unni Mukundan's prowess. Low-budget yet high impact, it's beating the odds and setting new benchmarks!" Another wrote, "That's a power of good script and positive word of mouth. Public is the real king of cinema. If they like it, then low budget doesn't matter."
More about Marco
If you thought Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal was wild, it is safe to say that this actioner is not for you.The movie's makers recently issued a statement which read, "Everyone who has watched #Marco is shaken and saying they have never witnessed such brutal unrelenting gore in Indian cinema historay. As a responsible team, we strong advise kids, elderly people and heart patients to stay away. This blood-drenched spectacle is not for the faint-hearted."
