Supreme Court Adjourns Hearing on Mohan Babu’s Petition

Renowned actor Mohan Babu, who is facing an attempted murder case related to an alleged assault on a journalist, has approached the Supreme Court after being denied anticipatory bail by the Telangana High Court.

Mohan Babu had earlier filed a petition in the High Court seeking anticipatory bail in connection with the case. However, the High Court refused to grant him bail, prompting him to challenge the decision in the Supreme Court.

In his petition, Mohan Babu stated that he is 78 years old and suffering from heart-related health issues. He urged the apex court to grant him anticipatory bail, considering his age and medical condition.

The petition came up for hearing before a bench comprising Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra.

During the proceedings, Mohan Babu’s counsel requested a passover, citing the unavailability of senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, who is representing him in the case. Accepting the request, the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing and scheduled it for the upcoming Thursday.
