Harirama Jogaiah Urges Naidu, Pawan to Focus on Godavari Districts Development
Former minister and Kapu Welfare Sena president Harirama Jogaiah has written an open letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, urging them to prioritize the development of the twin Godavari districts.
In his letter, Jogaiah pointed out that while ₹50,000 crore has already been spent on the capital region in Guntur and Krishna districts— with another ₹50,000 crore set to be invested—other districts also require attention. While acknowledging the importance of investing in legislative buildings, the High Court, and government offices for administrative efficiency, he stressed the need for balanced regional development.
He recalled Pawan Kalyan’s promise during the Varahi Sabha to adopt the twin Godavari districts and questioned what tangible development had taken place there. He urged the government to focus on key areas such as irrigation, drinking water, education, healthcare, roads, transportation, industries, agriculture, trade, and ports.
Additionally, Jogaiah demanded that the coalition government release a white paper outlining the funds allocated to the Godavari districts over the years. He emphasized that publishing an annual expenditure report for each district would promote transparency and earn public trust.
