Three days away (November 5) for the 2024 US Presidential election; the majority of the popular news journals opine a close fight between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, with Harris maintaining a slight edge. According to the analysis on the mood of the public, Vice President Kamala Harris has a slight edge with only 1 per cent. According to reports, the contest is close as the people of the United States are starkly divided.

After President Biden withdrew his candidature from the Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris came into the lead position against the former President Donald Trump. But Donald Trump astutely recovered from his downtrend trend during the last two months. Since then the competition has turned out to be a tough as it never experienced in the past. During the previous election, Joe Biden maintained a lead up to 3 to 6 per cent margin before the election. But this time the contest is getting very close after the announcement of Kamala Harris’ candidature.

The Democratic Party could not satisfy the US citizens as per their expectations amidst crisis with wars and post Corona economic conditions in the last four years. But the Biden government managed not to collapse the systems compared with other European countries. However the US citizens are not happy with the extreme attitude of Trump’s candidature. According to The New York Times survey, Vice President Kamala Harris has a 1 percent edge against Trump with the vote share of 49 per cent versus 48 per cent.

“The Washington Post” election survey reveals Kamala Harris commanding with a slight margin of 1 per cent vote share. The most popular ‘Forbes’ magazine also opined that Harris has 1 per cent vote margin against Trump with 49 per cent to 48 vote share. The CNN owned by Warner Brothers’ study revealed that there is no clear lead as per their study and there is a neck to neck fight between both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump but Kamala Harris has some slight edge in swing states. It is important in the US election.

However, the Wall Street Journal only shows some lead to Donald Trump against Harris. Besides, World’s well reputed British Broadcasting Company (BBC) revealed their opinion as Kamala Harris has been continuing with a 1 percent lead in the election race. UK based oldest news daily The Guardian opined as like other news journals the Kamala Harris is in lead position with 48:47 polling ratio. The reports say the majority of women up to 60 per cent are supporting Harris while Trump has major share support from the male population.

The majority of Latino and Hispanic voters are extending support to Harris. The States like Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, North Carolina, Michigan, and Wisconsin are treated as swing states. The States will decide the US President. But The New York Times study says, Kamala Harris has up to 2 per cent lead in the particular States. Meanwhile, the Indian origin nearly 15 lakh people are participating in the elections but they divided as majority of women are supporting Harris while men support for Trump.

Republican Party candidate Trump announced his fresh support to India over Bangladesh issue and foreign policy while Democrats always friendship. with migrants. Indian Music Director AR Rehaman campaigned for Kamala Harris. Interestingly Harris ancestors belonged to Tamilnadu Republican Party vice president candidate JD Vance wife’s ancestors belonged to Andhra Pradesh.
