Finally, AP Assembly Is Free From “Boothulu”
One of the many complaints against the bygone YCP government was the gross mishandling of the assembly sessions.
One of the many complaints against the bygone YCP government was the gross mishandling of the assembly sessions. Despite having a super supporting mandate of 151 seats, YCP’s entire focus during the assembly sessions was on abusing and humiliating Chandrababu Naidu.
While it was a constant practice by even Jagan to speak down on Chandrababu, at one point in 2022, it reached a saturation point where Babu’s family was abused.
The likes of KodaliNani, Roja, Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy, Anil Kumar Yadav, and others were often seen crossing the line when it comes to abusing Chandrababu. In the end, the assembly sessions themselves became a joke under Jagan’s rule.
However, in a much needed positive reinforcement that was mandated by the arrival of the NDA government in AP, the assembly has firmly lost the Boothulu culture.
There is no longer the abusive trend in assembly where the MLAs are shouting at each other and calling names. The discussions now are primarily around policy making, constructive feedback on the 5-month rule of NDA, and the ambitious plans that are devised by CM Chandrababu.
With YCP chief Jagan staying away from the assembly, and YCP have agonizingly poor strength, the sessions are progressing on a parliamentary note.
Every discussion is meaningful and reward-yielding for AP. This is the kind of positive reinforcement that the people of AP perhaps wanted after the horror show for 5 years, and that is what is being delivered under the new government now.
