July 2025 Set for a High-Stakes Showdown with Three Major Releases

July usually isn’t the go-to month for big film releases, as stars often prefer festive or summer seasons to hit the screens. But this year is shaping up differently—with three major Telugu releases lined up, each carrying the weight of its hero’s comeback hopes.

First up is Nithiin’s Thammudu, directed by Venu Sriram, hitting theaters on July 4. After a string of flops since Bheeshma, including the recent Robinhood, Nithiin is in desperate need of a hit—and Thammudu might just be his shot at redemption.

Next in line is Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara, scheduled for July 18. After the success of Dhamaka, Ravi’s career took a dip with multiple underperformers. Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, Mass Jathara is being positioned as his big bounce-back.

Rounding off the month is Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly anticipated Vishwabhara, releasing on July 24. After the debacle of Bholaa Shankar, Chiru took a two-year break to prep for this VFX-heavy socio-fantasy directed by Vassishta. With a massive budget and high expectations, Vishwabhara needs to deliver big to keep its producers safe.

With all three stars coming off recent flops, July is unexpectedly turning into a make-or-break month. Will it be the comeback season for these leading men? The stage is set, and all eyes are on the box office.
