TG EAPCET 2025 Exam Update
The EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) for 2025 is scheduled to take place after the JEE Advanced exam.
Balakishta Reddy, the Chairman of the Telangana Council of Higher Education, previously announced that the EAPCET would be conducted earlier this year, specifically in April. However, this plan may not come to fruition. It has been reported that Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the consulting firm overseeing the exam, has communicated that conducting EAPCET earlier is not feasible. TCS representatives have indicated to the Higher Education Council that due to the numerous national and state examinations scheduled for April, the EAPCET date will only be finalized once all major exams are completed.
Typically, TCS reviews various examination dates and proposes an EAPCET date to the council. The examination season will begin in February, with the intermediate and tenth-grade exams concluding by the second week of March. Students who do not pass these exams will require additional time to prepare for the EAPCET after the Advanced Supplementary exams. The JEE Mains will take place from April 1 to 8, followed by the JEE Advanced on May 18. Following these exams, counseling sessions will be held in IITs and national engineering colleges. The EAPCET rank will be particularly beneficial for students who may not secure seats in national colleges.
Despite these scheduling conflicts, the Higher Education Council has decided to conduct the EAPCET in April. This decision raises the potential for confusion among students who are also taking the JEE Mains and Advanced. Therefore, TCS believes that it would be more prudent to conduct the EAPCET after the JEE Advanced, as has been the practice in previous years. It remains to be seen what the final decision of the Higher Education Council will be regarding the EAPCET exam date.
