Mega DSC 2024 Notification: Mega DSC to be delayed further.. Notification only after 6 months?
The Mega DSC notification in Andhra Pradesh, originally scheduled for release on November 6, has been unexpectedly postponed, as announced by the Education Department on November 5.
This last-minute delay has caused frustration among unemployed individuals, who were assured that the Mega DSC would be announced shortly after the TET results. Since then, the pattern of postponements has continued, with repeated promises of updates falling through.
The main reason for the delays appears to be the Supreme Court's ruling regarding the classification of Scheduled Castes (SC). It seems unlikely that the Mega DSC notification will be released until this classification is finalized.
Recently, the government decided to implement SC classification based on the Supreme Court’s verdict, and a one-member commission has been appointed to determine the details of this classification in the state.
This commission has been given two months to submit its report, and the DSC notification will be issued only after this report is received. There are plans to release the notification within the next 2-3 months, and the government has advised candidates to prepare for the DSC in the meantime.
The goal is to complete the recruitment process promptly after the notification is issued, aiming to have new teachers in schools by the start of the 2025-26 academic year, following the summer vacations next year.
However, there are growing concerns about whether the teacher recruitment process can be finalized on time, given the postponed DSC notification. The government intends to make changes to the Recruitment Order Rules (ROR) as soon as the classification process is completed and to issue the DSC notification immediately.
A major concern arises if the classification process takes up to six months; this could lead to the recruitment of new teachers occurring mid-academic year. Despite this, the Education Department maintains that the recruitment process will be concluded by the start of the academic year, leaving candidates confused and uncertain about the situation.
