 The last rites of Nara Rammurthy Naidu, younger brother of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, were conducted in his native village Naravaripalle in Tirupati district on Sunday with official ceremonials.
 
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son, minister Nara Lokesh, participated in the funeral procession, personally carrying the coffin as a mark of respect. Rammurthy Naidu, who had been battling health issues, passed away on Saturday afternoon at a hospital in Hyderabad due to cardiac arrest. His mortal remains were brought to Naravaripalle from Hyderabad in a special flight on Sunday morning, accompanied by family members, including Nara Lokesh.
 
From Renigunta Airport, the body was transported to the village in an ambulance. Chandrababu Naidu was joined by his wife Bhuvaneshwari, daughter-in-law Brahmini, and other family members. Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, who traveled alongside Naidu from the airport, also paid his respects. The final rites were performed at the gravesite of Rammurthy Naidu's parents in Naravaripalle. Prominent leaders, public representatives, and film personalities attended the funeral to pay their last respects. Notable attendees included Chittoor MP Daggubati Prasad Rao, actors Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu, and Rajendra Prasad, former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Puthalapattu MLA Kalikiri Muralimohan, and MRPS president Mandakrishna Madiga.
 
Actor Rajendra Prasad, while offering tributes, described Rammurthy Naidu as a man of high ideals and a good-hearted leader whose absence will be felt not only by his family but also by the wider community. Rammurthy Naidu had been under treatment at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad since October 14 after his health deteriorated. Despite advanced medical care, he succumbed to cardiac arrest on Saturday afternoon.
 
He is survived by his wife Indira and sons Girish and Rohit. Rohit is a film actor, while Girish is based in the Gulf for business. Chandrababu Naidu, who was in Delhi for official commitments, rushed to Hyderabad upon hearing about his brother's deteriorating health. Family members, including Rammurthy Naidu's sons, were seen consoling each other as tributes poured in from across the State.
