Anagani Satya Prasad, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Revenue, Stamps, and Registrations, stated that regional revenue conferences are being held across the state with district collectors and joint collectors. He revealed that 32 types of complaints have been consistently raised during these conferences. More than one lakh petitions are related to Record of Rights (ROR) issues, he explained. Additionally, around 7,000 petitions concerning re-survey disputes have been received, and efforts are being made to resolve these grievances during the conferences.

The minister informed that the ongoing revenue conferences will conclude on January 8. He also announced that an additional five days of revenue conferences will be conducted in the Uttarandhra region after Sankranti.

Anagani further mentioned that the re-survey process will resume on January 20. He explained that the re-survey would be conducted block-wise at the rate of 20 acres per day. A village in each mandal will be taken up as a pilot project to carry out the re-survey.

Commenting on irregularities during the previous government’s tenure, Anagani said that 13 lakh acres of land were converted to freehold. Of this, four lakh acres were allegedly converted illegally, and registrations were completed for 25,000 acres. He disclosed that a preliminary decision has been made to cancel registrations for 7,000 acres.

The minister also noted that steps are being taken to ensure that land registration values remain reasonable. He highlighted fluctuations in land prices in certain growth corridors and assured that registration values would be adjusted to reflect the actual market value of the land.
