Cult Classic Aditya 369 Returns to Theaters in 4K
The iconic 1991 sci-fi film Aditya 369, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna in a dual role, is set for a grand re-release on April 11. Directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced under the Sridevi Movies banner, the film has been digitally remastered in stunning 4K resolution with upgraded 5.1 sound.
Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad revealed that the film underwent a meticulous six-month restoration at Prasad Laboratories. “It’s a proud moment to present this masterpiece in an enhanced form,” he said, paying tribute to the late SP Balasubrahmanyam, who originally presented the film. He also praised Balakrishna’s unforgettable performances as Sri Krishnadevaraya and Krishna Kumar, along with the visionary storytelling of Singeetam Srinivasa Rao.
Featuring legendary actors like Amrish Puri and Tinnu Anand, Aditya 369 was backed by Ilaiyaraaja’s mesmerizing music and the cinematographic brilliance of PC Sreeram, VSR Swamy, and Kabir Lal.
“This film cemented Sridevi Movies’ place in Telugu cinema history. With Balakrishna’s recent hits, Aditya 369 will continue to captivate audiences, old and new,” Krishna Prasad added.
