KTR Warns of History’s Judgment on Lok Sabha Delimitation
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has cautioned that history will not forgive those who remain silent on the Lok Sabha delimitation issue, which threatens the interests of southern states.
Speaking at an all-party meeting organized by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Chennai, KTR accused the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government of bias against the South. He warned that Telangana could lose constituencies under the proposed delimitation plan.
KTR stressed that increasing parliamentary seats solely based on population undermines federalism and disproportionately harms states leading in development. He argued that such an approach could centralize power dangerously, pushing the nation toward authoritarianism.
