Janasena Clarifies It Did Not Attend Chennai Delimitation Meeting
Janasena Party has dismissed reports claiming its representatives attended the delimitation meeting led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in Chennai, calling them mere speculation. In an official statement on social media, the party clarified that no Janasena leaders were present at the meeting.
The party acknowledged receiving an invitation but stated that, under the direction of its leader Pawan Kalyan, it declined participation, citing the involvement of parties from different political alliances. Janasena asserted that while it has its own stance on the delimitation issue, it will express its position at an appropriate platform.
Meanwhile, the DMK government in Tamil Nadu remains firm in its opposition to the proposed delimitation process by the Modi-led central government, which aims to restructure constituencies based on the 2026 census. Chief Minister Stalin is reportedly mobilizing support for a national-level campaign against the proposal. As part of this effort, he convened the all-party meeting in Chennai, attended by several southern state leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
