Unseasonal Rains Damage Crops in Andhra Pradesh; IMD Issues Warning
Unseasonal rains have caused severe damage to crops across several districts of Andhra Pradesh, leaving farmers in distress as their ready-to-harvest produce gets destroyed.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the adverse weather conditions, including hailstorms and strong winds, will persist for another four days.
The IMD attributes the heavy rains and thunderstorms to cumulonimbus clouds and a surface trough extending from Vidarbha to Tamil Nadu at an altitude of 1.5 km above sea level. The department has also issued a lightning warning, advising people to stay indoors and avoid taking shelter under trees during rainfall.
With further downpours expected, farmers and authorities remain on high alert, bracing for continued challenges.
