Immediate Permissions for Setting Up Industries: Krishna Collector Balaji

District Collector DK Balaji has directed the officials to promptly grant the necessary permissions to aspiring entrepreneurs looking to establish industries in the district through a streamlined single-window approach. On Tuesday, a meeting of the District Industries Export Promotion Council took place under the leadership of the District Collector at the Public Issues Resolution Forum meeting hall in the Collectorate.

The agenda included discussions on pending applications, issues faced, and other relevant matters. During the meeting, the District Collector emphasized the need to address challenges within the industrial estate quickly. He urged the officials to provide immediate permissions and subsidies for setting up new industries using the single-window method. Furthermore, he requested the officials to resolve all outstanding applications by the next meeting.

He instructed that applications submitted by various departments concerning infrastructure for industries should be reviewed without delay and facilities should be provided according to regulations. The Municipal Commissioners were also tasked with completing the MSME survey as soon as possible.

An aspiring industrialist asked the Collector to utilize his own funds to purchase land for a seaweed farming project, requesting a suitable location in the coastal area with adequate road connectivity, electricity, and other essential facilities. In response, the Collector contacted the District Fisheries Department immediately to ensure necessary steps were taken to locate a suitable site.

The meeting was attended by various officials, including R Venkat Rao, District Manager of the Industries Department; Kannamanayudu, ZP CEO; Y Hariharanath, DRDA PD; M Ravindra Reddy, LDM; along with Municipal Commissioners and representatives from the Fire and Fisheries Departments, as well as aspiring industrialists.
