Sunkara Padmashree : AP Congress Committee senior leader and AICC member Sunkara Padmasree asked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to take steps to fulfill the promises given to the people of Andhra Pradesh especially – Super Six. The Super Six included three free gas cylinders, Rs 1500 to every woman, Rs 15,000 to every school-going child, free bus travel for women, Rs 20,000 to every farmer and 20 lakh new jobs to the youth. “It is almost three months since you have come to power and unfortunately you seem to have forgotten your promises. None of these six promises are implemented now in the State. There is no mention of the promises either in your speeches or in action. You are completely silent on these promises”, she said.
Padmasree said though some cabinet ministers said that the officials were studying the free bus scheme and its implementation as followed in Karnataka and Telangana, nothing had happened so far in the last three months. “You, as Chief Minister, have not said anything about these schemes, except your ministers. Have you forgotten these promises?”, she questioned. “You promised three LPG cylinders for every family per year. Three months have gone and there is no mention of the scheme either by you or any of your Cabinet. People have lot of hopes on you to roll out the scheme. In fact, people have voted for you believing that you would give them three cylinders a year.
Gas prices have gone up and purchasing gas has become a burden to the people. The women in the state are looking for you to roll out the scheme”. Padmasree said the farmers in the state are looking for financial support from the government. “You have promised them Rs 20,000 a year. Neither you nor any of your ministers are talking about this promise in the last three months. Do you remember that you have made this promise to the farmers during the elections?”. She said school-going children were looking for Rs 15,000 as promised by the Kutami.
“You have promised Rs 15,000 to every child, no matter how many children are there in a family. No child in the state was given this amount so far. Schools have reopened in June and we are now in September”. “Do you know the mothers of these school going children are waiting for this financial support? When will you give this money to the mothers? You have promised to give Rs 1500 to every woman in the state. The women are waiting for this money”. ” Women in the State are also waiting for you to start the free bus travel.

That was a promise and you have to implement it from the day you took over the reins. You said that your government would implement the scheme immediately after coming to power. Remember, you have also promised job guarantee to the volunteers. You have also promised to increase their honorarium to Rs 10,000 per month. They are waiting for your orders. You have not used their services in the last three months. You have left them to their fate. A promise is a promise and you have promised them job guarantee and hike in honorarium.
Please fulfil this promise too. ” Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee reminding you of your promises to the people. We will be there reminding you of your promises. Please start working on your promises. Better late than never”. Padmasree said she was looking forward to implementation of the promises as promised by the Kutami Government to the people during the 2024 general election.
