People in the Telugu states are already familiar with star anchor Shyamala. She has been an anchor for numerous TV shows, appeared in movies, and even participated in the reality show Bigg Boss. Besides her media work, she has also become involved in politics. Shyamala and her husband Narasimha Reddy joined the YSRCP before the 2019 elections.
Shyamala actively campaigned for the YCP in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections a few months ago, particularly in Pithapuram, supporting the YSP candidate Geetha in opposition to Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan. She gained attention for her comments about Chandrababu and Pawan, which led to significant trolling on social media after the elections. Despite this, Shyamala remained undeterred, asserting that she would continue to support Jagan’s leadership despite any challenges.
Now, in recognition of her hard work, Jagan has entrusted her with important responsibilities in the YCP. After the defeat in the AP assembly elections, Jagan is making organizational changes in the YSRCP. As part of this, the YCP has appointed four people, including Shyamala, as state representatives. The party’s central office recently announced her appointment as the state representative of the YCP. Alongside Shyamala, Jagan has also appointed former minister RK Roja, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, and Jupudi Prabhakara Rao as state representatives. Following her appointment, Shyamala expressed her happiness and gratitude to party leader YS Jagan, as well as to YCP leaders, workers, and supporters.
