Online services simplify access to EC, CC
Accessing essential services like Encumbrance Certificates (EC) and Certified Copies (CC) from the AP Stamps and Registrations Department has become significantly easier, thanks to new online facilities. Citizens no longer need to visit Sub-Registrar offices or "Mee Seva" centers to avail these services.
The department has launched a dedicated payment gateway on its official website, enabling users to obtain EC and CC instantly by paying the requisite fee online. This streamlined system eliminates delays, ensuring that documents are available within seconds.
Rural residents without access to online services can still use "Mee Seva" centers for these services, maintaining inclusivity. Under the previous government, citizens were required to visit "Mee Seva" centers and submit physical applications, which often led to delays of two to three days or more, especially during holidays.
The current system introduced by the Telugu Desam Party-led government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has significantly reduced this inconvenience. Special chief secretary for Revenue, RP Sisodia, highlighted that the revamped process eliminates intermediaries, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
Payments made online are directly credited to the Stamps and Registrations Department, further reducing processing time. Addressing rumors on social media, Sisodia clarified that "Mee Seva" centers continue to offer services, but online options provide greater convenience. The upgraded system has been designed to benefit both urban and rural users, ensuring equitable access.
