Rebuilding Andhra with people’s first policy amid fiscal constraints:CM

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu outlined an ambitious roadmap for Andhra Pradesh’s revival, urging officials

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu outlined an ambitious roadmap for Andhra Pradesh’s revival, urging officials to focus on smart governance while tackling the fallout of what he called "five years of destructive rule." Speaking at the Collectors’ Conference on Wednesday, Naidu asserted that effective leadership finds opportunities even in crises, adding, “Reconstruction is underway, and we must move forward with a clear vision despite the Rs 10 lakh crore debt.

” The CM urged officials to adopt a results-oriented approach. “Hard work alone won’t suffice; smart strategies will lead us to success. Together, we will transform Andhra Pradesh and create opportunities for generations to come,” he said. Naidu stressed the importance of implementing the government’s Super Six Schemes, a set of initiatives aimed at restoring public trust and addressing the challenges posed by fiscal constraints under the FRBM rules. He said, “Efforts require perseverance; results will follow only with sustained smart work. Leadership is about creating pathways through crises, and Andhra Pradesh will set a new benchmark.” Amaravati on track The Chief Minister highlighted the progress in Amaravati’s development, confirming that Rs 31,000 crore has been mobilized and that an additional Rs 50,000 crore is targeted for the capital’s first phase.

“Amaravati represents the aspirations of Andhra Pradesh, and we are committed to making it a global city,” Naidu declared. He also reaffirmed the government’s determination to complete the Polavaram project by 2027, which he described as a lifeline for the state. Tackling mafia, land grabs Naidu criticized the rise of ganja smuggling and land grabbing under the previous regime. He warned officials to take strong action, saying, “The PDS ration rice mafia and drug cartels must be uprooted at all levels.” He also highlighted the newly introduced Land Grabbing Act, aimed at reclaiming encroached lands, ports, and SEZs. Restoring AP’s brand The Chief Minister expressed concern over the damage to the State’s reputation over the past five years, emphasizing the need to rebuild trust among investors and citizens alike. “With more than 20 policies aligned to Vision 2047, our goal is to create 20 lakh jobs and turn Andhra Pradesh into a global investment destination,” Naidu said. Focus on welfare, education Naidu also underscored his government’s commitment to social welfare, stating that Andhra Pradesh pays the highest pensions in the country, amounting to Rs 33,000 crore annually.

He announced the recruitment of over 16,000 teachers ahead of the next academic year to address gaps in education. Google Collaboration in Vizag In a major boost for Andhra Pradesh’s tech ecosystem, Naidu announced a strategic partnership with Google, facilitated by IT Minister Nara Lokesh. “This agreement will transform Visakhapatnam into a global deep-tech hub with AI capabilities, a data center, and sea cable connectivity,” he said. The CM revealed that Google’s satellite technology and drones would also be used to eradicate Ganja cultivation in agency areas.
