Customs commissionerate to host 5K Run, Walkathon on Feb 12

The Customs Commissionerate (Preventive), Vijayawada, led by commissioner Sadu Narasimha Reddy, is organizing a 5K Run and Walkathon on February 12, 2025, to promote a healthy lifestyle and highlight Customs' role in global trade facilitation.

Employees from Central Government Departments in Vijayawada will participate, with the event starting at 6:00 AM from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Statue, PWD Grounds, M.G. Road. The run will have different categories to include all age groups.

The event also marks the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution's adoption, adding significance to the occasion. Organized as part of International Customs Day 2025, it encourages participants to embrace fitness and celebrate this milestone.

Commissioner Sadu Narasimha Reddy released a commemorative poster for the event, urging central government officers and staff to participate enthusiastically and contribute to its success.
