Renu Desai Clears the Air on Son Akira Nandan’s Debut and More in Candid Podcast

The buzz around Akira Nandan’s silver screen debut has been keeping fans and the film industry on edge. As the son of Power Star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and actress Renu Desai, Akira’s entry into films is one of the most anticipated events in Tollywood. His recent public appearances with his father have only fueled the excitement.

Speculations have been rife—some claiming Akira will appear in a cameo in Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film OG, while others suggested he’s being mentored by cousin Ram Charan for a grand debut.

However, putting an end to the rumors, Renu Desai addressed these topics in her latest podcast. She firmly clarified, “Akira is not acting in OG, nor is he being groomed by Charan. In fact, when I shared videos about such claims, Akira specifically asked me not to forward them to him.”

Beyond her son’s debut, Renu got candid about her personal life, political choices, and return to cinema. She shared that though she had once considered marriage again, she chose to stay focused on raising her children, Akira and Aadhya. She also revealed she had turned down political offers from several parties for the same reason.

On her comeback to Tollywood with Tiger Nageswara Rao, Renu said, “It was deeply nostalgic and emotional. I knew I’d tear up the moment the director said ‘action.’ That’s why I took Akira along—to have that emotional support on set.”

As for politics, the Badri actress emphasized that her true calling lies in serving others through her NGO, where she finds joy in helping people and animals alike.

With clarity, grace, and an unwavering focus on her children, Renu Desai continues to inspire both on and off screen—while fans patiently wait for Akira’s cinematic journey to begin.
