Superstar Rajinikanth, who is currently working on the film “Coolie” with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, expressed displeasure
Superstar Rajinikanth, who is currently working on the film “Coolie” with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, expressed displeasure at a reporter’s question regarding women’s safety during an interaction at the airport. Rajinikanth, on his way to Thailand for the next shooting schedule of “Coolie”, shared updates about the film with the media.
During the interaction, a reporter asked Rajinikanth for his opinion on women’s safety in society, seemingly referring to a recent incident at Anna University in Chennai, where a female student faced sexual harassment. Rajinikanth reportedly showed irritation and responded firmly, stating, “Don’t ask such irrelevant questions,” and urged reporters to refrain from asking him politically-related questions.
Despite the tense moment, Rajinikanth continued to provide updates on his film “Coolie”, revealing that about 70% of the shooting has been completed. The next schedule is set to take place between January 13 and January 28 in Thailand. This action-thriller, centered around gold smuggling, features Rajinikanth alongside prominent actors such as Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir in key roles.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, “Coolie” has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. This film marks Rajinikanth’s 171st project and is Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next major venture after “Leo”. Following the completion of “Coolie”, Rajinikanth is expected to join the team for “Jailer 2”. Notably, Rajinikanth experienced a series of box office setbacks in recent years, but he regained his momentum with the blockbuster success of “Jailer”.
