After ‘Game Changer’ Setback, Ram Charan Eyes Redemption with ‘Peddi’

Following the underwhelming reception of Game Changer, Ram Charan is all set to bounce back with Peddi, his next big-screen outing directed by Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame. The first glimpse of the film has already sparked massive buzz, garnering over 36 million views in under 24 hours across platforms—an impressive feat that speaks volumes about the anticipation surrounding the project.

What’s more impressive is the film’s multilingual impact. The teaser didn’t just trend in Telugu; it found resonance across languages. Ram Charan himself dubbed for the Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada versions of the teaser—a rare move that adds authenticity and helps bridge the gap with non-Telugu audiences. Sources suggest that he plans to dub for the entire film in all these languages, a move that’s expected to enhance his pan-India appeal.

Peddi is also riding high on the musical shoulders of AR Rahman, whose association has given the teaser an extra edge, especially in Tamil. The Tamil version alone has racked up over 3.5 million views, while the Kannada and Malayalam versions have collectively crossed that mark. The Hindi teaser, released just this morning, is already trending online and picking up momentum.

The hype is further fueled by reaction videos and discussions from popular YouTubers, amplifying the film’s presence on social media. While Game Changer failed to capitalize on Charan’s pan-India stardom, Peddi seems to be correcting that course. If the songs and promotional material continue to strike a chord across languages, Peddi is poised for a massive opening.

The film is slated for a grand worldwide release on March 27, 2026.
