CID issues fresh summons to Vijayasai Reddy in seaport case
The Andhra Pradesh CID has once again issued notices to former MP Vijayasai Reddy, directing him to appear for questioning on March 25 in connection with the Kakinada Seaport and SEZ case. This follows his earlier interrogation on the matter last Wednesday, during which he was questioned for five hours at the Vijayawada CID office.
At that time, officials had indicated that further questioning might be required. Vijayasai Reddy was previously questioned regarding allegations of the illegal transfer of shares from Kakinada Seaport Private Limited, based on a complaint filed by company head KV Rao.
The CID has registered a case against five individuals, including, A-1 Vikrant Reddy, A-2 Vijayasai Reddy, A-3 Sarath Chandra Reddy, A-4 Sridhar and A-5 Aurobindo Realty Infra. The charges against them include criminal intimidation, extortion, cheating, criminal conspiracy, forgery, and abetment under Sections 506, 384, 420, 109, 467, 120(B) read with 34 of the IPC.
