Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is set to visit the Polavaram Project on Monday
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is set to visit the Polavaram Project on Monday to review progress and gather detailed updates from officials. The focus of the visit will be on the construction of the diaphragm wall, a critical component of the project, scheduled to begin from January 2 next year. This will be CM Chandrababu’s second visit to Polavaram since returning to power after the 2024 Assembly elections.
Known for his hands-on approach during his 2014–19 tenure, when he inspected the project every Monday, Chandrababu first revisited Polavaram on June 17 this year as Chief Minister. Ahead of the CM's visit, Eluru district collector Vetri Selvi and SP Pratap Shiva Kishore conducted inspections at the Polavaram site on Saturday. They reviewed arrangements with officials and Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), the firm handling the construction. As part of security measures, police have temporarily restricted tourism activities in the Papikondalu region.
