Kadapa: April 25: Ahead of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s nomination and public meeting in Pulivendula, YS Sowbhagya Reddy, wife of the late former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, has addressed a letter to Jagan, expressing apprehensions regarding the selection of the YSR Congress Party candidate for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat.
In her correspondence, Sowbhagya Reddy drew a poignant parallel between the grief CM Jagan experienced upon his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s demise and the enduring anguish her daughter Suneetha has faced since 2019.

The CM’s decision to re-nominate his cousin and sitting MP YS Avinash Reddy for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat has ignited controversy, particularly due to Avinash’s implication as the eighth accused in Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case, as per the CBI’s investigation.
Expressing her distress, Sowbhagya questioned the rationale behind the perceived defamation of Vivekananda Reddy’s legacy, considering his aspirations for Jagan Mohan Reddy’s political journey. She also shed light on the online harassment faced by her daughter and YS Sharmila Reddy at the hands of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s supporters on social media platforms.
In a fervent plea for justice and adherence to legal principles, Sowbhagya implored CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to reconsider his candidate choice in light of the serious murder allegations against Avinash Reddy and the concerns of the family.
