The players from The Suburban Table Tennis Association, based in Mumbai, have won a total of 17 medals in the first Maharashtra State Ranking Tournament. This tally includes seven gold medals. Chinamay Somaiya and Reeth Risha secured the gold medals in the men’s and women’s singles respectively.
In the boys’ and girls’ under-19 singles categories, Sharveya Samant and Annaya Chande also captured gold medals. Left-handed Dhruv Shah claimed the title in the U-17 boys’ singles.
Risha achieved victory over Madhurika Patkar in the women’s draw, earning a gold, while Sampada Bhiwandkar and Manushree Patil took home bronze medals after losing in the semi-finals. Raegan Albuquerque secured a bronze in the men’s event.
Annaya Chande emerged victorious in the girls’ U-19 final, defeating teammate Vaishnavi Jaiswal. Furthermore, Myraa Sanglekar and Param emerged as champions in the U-13 girls’ and boys’ categories respectively.
Aarav Vora secured the silver medal, while Zain Shaikh claimed the bronze. Myraa’s teammates Trisha Ludbe and Sara Ramiya also won bronze medals. Vedika Jaiswal managed to secure a bronze medal in the girls’ U-11 event.
