Vijayawada: The YSRCP is grappling with internal strife as some of its candidates find themselves embroiled in intense conflicts within their own families amidst the critical ongoing election season, casting a shadow of discomfort over the party.
A notable instance involves Andhra Pradesh minister and Sattenapalli YSRCP candidate Ambati Rambabu, who is currently entangled in a delicate situation involving his family members. Dr Gautham, son-in-law of the Minister, took a daring step by releasing a video urging voters not to support Ambati’s bid for MLA. In his candid appeal, Gautham criticised Ambati’s character and alleged lack of integrity, describing the experience of being related to him as unfortunate. He emphasised the moral dimension, asserting that voting for Ambati would taint the sanctity of the voters’ choices due to Ambati’s purported absence of human values and tendency to propagate falsehoods.

Similarly, discord has erupted within the family of Anakapalli YSRCP MP candidate Budi Muthyala Naidu, resulting in tension in Taruva village. Naidu’s son has challenged his candidacy, while Naidu’s brother-in-law Gangadhar has also expressed opposition, creating a divisive atmosphere in the village.
Meanwhile, in Tekkali, YSRCP candidate Duvvada Srinivas faces a formidable opponent in TDP State president K Atchannaidu. Adding to the complexity, Srinivas’s wife, Duvvada Vani, initially entered the electoral fray against him but later withdrew following a resolution within the family.
