Amaravati: April 9: Former Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu announced Rs 10,000 monthly salary for volunteers who are being paid Rs 5000 so far. On the occasion of Ugadi celebrations at TDP central office here on Tuesday, he said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was cheating the volunteers. Describing his salary enhancement hike was Ugadi celebration gift to volunteers, he asked the volunteers not to resign from their positions to protect YSR Congress political interests. He asked the Chief Minister whether the volunteer system was in force or not. If the volunteer system is in force, how the CM would sign the first signature on the volunteers’ file, he pointed out?
Chandrababu Naidu asked the Chief Minister why the YSR Congress leaders were asking the volunteers to resign from their posts. He said that the YSR Congress was making plans to utilise the volunteers for their party service. If they face any police cases, the track record and career of volunteers would be in trouble when they have good educational background, he explained.
He also said that the volunteers have good education backgrounds like B.Tech, M.Tech and many graduations but the State government was cheating them by giving nominal payment for their political interests. He recalled that the TDP never opposed their services but only questioned their involvement in political activity. He assured the volunteers that the TDP would enhance their salary to Rs 10000 and further opportunities like work-from-home model opportunities to earn more than up to one lakh would be provided after TDP coming to power.
On the other hand, the TDP boss also said that the people of AP’s overall empowerment is his aim. Everyone should get equal benefits for their hard work and law and order is important, he opined. He asked the Telugu people across the globe to live happily. He further said that not only wealth creation is important but spending money for society is also the responsibility of everyone.
Talking about politics, he said that now the situation is worse and people are facing challenges including they don’t have safety for their properties also. The Chief Minister was looting public money in the name of welfare schemes. He further hoped that India and AP would become number one in the world by overcoming China and America. Terming the TDP as it has only introduced welfare to the world, he recalled that the pension introduced by TDP and pension amount was increased from Rs 200 to Rs 2000.
Chandrababu Naidu said that the three parties TDP, BJP and Jana Sena joined as NDA parties due to unite the anti-government voters. The State debts reached Rs 14.5 lakh crores and the State reconstruction is his responsibility and challenge, he said.
