PM Narendra Modi will begin BJP’s Lok Sabha election campaign in Karnataka on Saturday with a public meeting at Kalaburagi. Congress President M Mallikarjun Kharge lost the elections here to BJP’s Umesh Jadhav. Modi will also address a public meeting in Shivamogga on March 18.BJP has once again fielded Jadhav from the segment.PM Modi is scheduled to address a mega public meeting at the district headquarters town’s N V Ground at 2 pm.
The BJP has announced candidates for 20 seats in Karnataka, which has a total of 28 constituencies. The party is making a strong bid to regain the lost ground after being ousted from power by the Congress in the 2023 Assembly polls. Yediyurappa’s sons are also in the fray. JD(S), which joined the NDA last September, is expected to contest in three seats. Modi, Nadda, Shah, Yogi Adityanath, and other leaders will visit different Lok Sabha constituencies for campaigning. BJP has divided 28 Lok Sabha constituencies into eight clusters for Lok Sabha elections. Programs and strategies are being worked out in those eight clusters.
