Jagan hopes about 2.O but he should review 1.O

Amaravati: Feb 9: Former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy speech during in a party meeting about his future role as Chief Minister second term sparks debate among the political circles. There is nothing wrong in that everyone having aspirations about the future and should have confidence in future endeavours.

Reddy has also made a statement about his future Chief Minister’s role by giving assurance to the cadre. As per the public point of view, first he should review his first tenure as CM. He registered landslide victory in 2019 elections even though then Chief Minister N Chandrababu Maidu designed an international model capital, mega projects like Polavaram along with car manufacturing unit established in Anantapur and several IT companies in Visakhapatnam.

Even Naidu created development momentum in the state but the people preferred YS Jagan by giving him a huge victory. YS Jagan’s padayatra and his assurances created positive feeling among the public. People believed that he would deliver good governance like his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy.

People felt that he would develop the state more than Chandrababu Naidu. After the YSR Congress came to the power, he introduced a volunteer system and village secretariates for implementing the door step governance. He had also implemented welfare schemes under the DBT mode.

The people of the downtrodden sections got benefits especially the old age people received pensions at door steps most usefully. But at the same time, his rule between 2019 to 2024 damaged all the democratic systems. His government misused the police power undemocratically.

The police imposed restrictions and booked cases against the thousands of people across the state. Then people lived under fear without freedom of speech at least to express their views. YS Jagan government stalled the two important major lifeline projects Amaravati capital and Polavaram.

Hence no industrialist came forward to set up any establishment in the state. Then government had resorted the harassment against the farmers of Amaravati. As a Chief Minister he raised one particular caste name openly by cornering the people of community. Later, his government and party leaders damaged the social harmony at the grassroot level.

His government also sold cheap quality liquor for higher prices. Finally then the state government terrorised the people of the state to live normal life. Now YS Jagan should realise and review his faults. Not only the party cadre, all the people of state suffered by his misrule. He should try to correct his mistakes to regain his political career.
