Amaravati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its quota of six Lok Sabha seats with interesting surprises. As per the announcement, Andhra Pradesh BJP president D Purandeeshwari (Rajahmundry), former Chief Minister N Kirankumar Reddy, former MP CM Ramesh (Anakapalli), Kottapalli Geeta (Araku), Vara Prasad (Tiruapti) and Srinivasa Varma (Narsapuram) secured tickets.
Interestingly, Srinivas Varma got a seat without any expectations. Even sitting MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju could not secure a place. Similarly, YSR Congress MP Vara Prasad bagged a seat when he joined the BJP on the same day. He was announced for Tirupati Lok Sabha though several prominent persons made efforts for this seat. However, Somu Veerraju tried to contest from Rajahmundry Lok Sabha but BJP leadership selected Purandeeshwari. Several leaders like Satya Kumar, Y Sujana Chowdary also could not get seats for Lok Sabha.
