AP BJP complaints over TIDCO houses construction irregularities

AP BJP Legislature party leader P Vishnu Kumar Raju and Adoni MLA Parthasarathi met Lanka Dinakar, Chairman of the Twenty Points Programmes Implementation at his office in the State Secretariat, Velagapudi and requested to provide the information to the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to focus on the irregularities were done during Jaganmohan Reddy's regime that damaged the spirit of the Prime Minister's pet program Awasa Yojana pertaining to the TIDCO Houses.
After examination of the facts, BJLP leader Vishnu Kumar Raju and TPP chairman Lanka Dinakar came to the conclusion that as a part of poverty alleviation, houses shall be provided to the beneficiaries under the PM Awasa Yojana for all the deserving ones, under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s government had invited tenders for the construction of 4.55 lakh TIDCO houses in the year 2015-16, out of which 3.13 lakh houses were started for construction. But, out of which only 57 thousand houses were built under the Jaganmohan Reddy's regime in 2019 - 24. Another 1.67 lakh houses have become unusable due to negligence in providing the necessary infrastructure.
According to the information submitted by Vishnu Kumar Raju to Lanka Dinakar between 2019-24, Jaganmohan Reddy’s government had issued house documents to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awasa Yojana with YS Jagan photo as if the houses were not physically there.
