Palakollu: Former Narasapuram MP K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, who was elected on a YSRCP ticket, officially joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the presence of party president N Chandrababu Naidu during a public meeting held in Palakollu.

Raghu Rama, who turned rebel within a year of his election and recently resigned to the ruling YSR Congress, had aspired to contest from Narasapuram as a candidate of the TDP-JSP-BJP combine. However, he was not given the ticket.

Welcoming him into the TDP, Naidu praised his efforts in fighting against chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to safeguard democracy. He highlighted instances where Raghu Rama faced obstacles, including being barred from entering his own constituency and enduring alleged police mistreatment throughout a night.

Expressing gratitude to Naidu for his induction into the TDP, Raghu Rama exuded confidence in the NDA alliance’s ability to secure a substantial victory in the upcoming elections
